Q. How does
the 100 Free Minutes work? 
A. You will receive 100 free state to state minutes in your sixth months bill.
Q. How do we offer such low rates?
A. MelaCom/OPEX is an FCC Certified and Tariffed long distance carrier. We buy our network from several large nationwide network providers who have high quality global connectivity. Since we buy the network in such bulk and have the most efficient support operation in the industry, we can offer deep discounted rates without compromising the quality of service. MelaCom/OPEX does not spend money on expensive advertising. This also allows us to pass even more savings on to our customers.
Q. How will I know if I'm switched to
MelaCom/OPEX?
A. MelaCom/OPEX is one of the best provisioning companies of long distance service in the country. You will receive an email from MelaCom/OPEX Communications when you make your first call on our network as a thank you and verification that you are on our service. If any problems occur while your account is being provisioned, you will be quickly contacted by an MelaCom/OPEX provisioning representative. You may also visit our customer services site at http://www.mymelacom.com if you have further questions.
Q. What are the billing increments?
A. The length of all your calls is measured (and billed) in 60/60 (60 second minimum then 60 second increments thereafter).
Q. Does MelaCom/OPEX offer calling cards?
A. Yes. The rate is 9.9 cents per minute. There is no connection charge, however there is a 53 cents surcharge when used from a payphone. There is a 99 cents set up fee per card.
Q. Does MelaCom/OPEX offer Account Codes
(PACs)?
A. Yes. They offer both verified and non-verified Product Account Codes (PACs).
Q. How long should provisioning take?
A. Please allow 4 to 10 days for the switch-over to take effect.

Q. What are the charges for toll free
numbers?
A. 75 cents a month for the first line and 75 cents a month for each additional toll free line.
Q. Is there a minimum usage fee?
A.NO. The minimum usage fee is automatically waived.
Q.
When does my credit card or checking account get debited?
A. Your credit card or checking account will be debited approximately two (2) weeks after you receive your MelaCom/OPEX invoice. The balance on your current invoice will not reflect this debit until the next invoice.
